The challenge
Lumen’s previous site was a template that forced them into layouts that didn’t honor their photography. Updates required filing a ticket with a freelancer. They wanted autonomy.
What we did
- Designed three custom gallery layouts tuned for their most common shoot types.
- Built an Astro + headless CMS setup with instant draft previews.
- Wrote a short editors’ handbook with screenshots of every common task.
Outcome
The studio now publishes 3–4 new shoots per month on their own, and the site has become their best source of new client inquiries.
